What I think is inconsequential....Majik obviously was better, in fact, they are sending my boys home with their tails between thier legs......down by 10? I say they should swim home:P

Results are in for the Russia meet.
1st~ Majik 231
2nd~ Airspeed 221 (ouch!)
3rd~EvolutionPro 193

9 out of the 10 points gap between Majik and Vertical happened on rounds 9 and 10... and from this 9 points, 6 were due to busts:

Round 9: a 21 brought to a 19;
Round 10: a 25 brought to a 21.

I'm pointing this out because during the first 8 rounds, the competition between both teams was balanced, with both alternating on the lead and... suddenly a 1 point gap rose to a 10 point in 2 rounds... is this normal?

Does anybody know if those busts (that really occurred but are not very common on them), associated to a lower performance than usual on Airspeed side, are related to which factor(s)?

I wouldnt even care to speculate. It was said however that coming out of round 8 Craig Girard fell ill....I have no comment on that either becaue I just don't know "just the facts m'am".
I will point out however, that this is the 2nd time Majik has won the day.

well, IMO, Airspeed's mentaly not ready to have someone challenge them like majik does. busts (and not busting) are very mental, and if you're not calm it's going to happen. I think that majik has gottne in their heads. I wouldn't be surprised to see them (airspeed) take bronze behind majik and the knights this year.

This may be an ignant question, but where's majik from? Also, was this a 4 or 8 way?

Hi lippy,

This was a 4-way competition and Team DeLand Majik is from DeLand (Florida - USA).

You can visit their web site at http://www.delandmajik.com/

At Omniskore web site you'll be able to read the comments of Tim Wagner to this Russian Meet (http://www.omniskore.com/comp/2002/Russia/index.htm).

As well, at the russian official web site (english version) for the competition (http://www.malevskycup.ru/index_eng.shtml) you may find photos of the participating teams at http://www.malevskycup.ru/teams_eng.shtml.
