Deleted 0 #5 August 18, 2002 I actually kept close track, by withdrawing cash directly from checking......ooooooh shit, that's not good..... Left home with $300 cash. Used the ATMs on site, $200 a pop, 6 times. ATM again on the way home for $160. Total $1660. Value? Priceless!

skybytch 273 #8 August 18, 2002 Hmm... $370 round trip plane ticket. Took $200 in cash, then hit the ATM for $300 more while I was there. My registration and jumps were free, and I got paid for working manifest, so the whole thing cost me less than $400. But, I only did 5 jumps... next year I'm jumping more and partying less. Then the cost of the DV tapes... the cost of the cell phone minutes used there, etc...Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

jceman 1 #12 August 18, 2002 QuoteJust how much did you spend on jumps, beer, or other stuff? $1495 -- jumps, registrations and RV slot 495 -- dropzone.com tent 312 -- Packing Cathy 265 -- food and drinks 235 -- diesel for round trip from FL 50 -- shirts -------- $2852 -- Total (if my math doesn't suck) Thank goodness for the decent refund from the IRS for 2001 and a couple other windfalls. I sure would hate to deny Lynn her big vacation, She really needed it. WFFC 2003 fund already started. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
freeflir29 0 #13 August 18, 2002 Don't worry too much Viking. I was in "economy" mode for this year. My bank account was on the low side before I even left. I'm not really sure because I didn't keep to the dollar tabs but I don't think I spent more than $600 total for the entire trip. I went up with $200 cash in my wallet. Had someone ride with me on the way up so we split the gas. Stayed in a tent for free. Only spent $221 on jump tickets. Including 1 C-130 and a helo jump. The other 8 jumps were $18 tickets. Beer was free and lunch and dinner usually didn't run more than $5 per. I jumped at least once every day and I stayed from Saturday night through the week until early Sunday morning. I had a blast even though I didn't jump much. To be honest....if I wanted to jump more I would have to get more sleep.
