Don 't let it die on me!!!!

Recommended Posts

My Pro-Track batteries are about up (that annoying "low battery" warning keeps yellin at me.) While moving from Purdue to....a location still to be determined, I seemed to have lost my extra set of batteries. I'm guessing no, but is there an easier to find equivalent of the "CR 2330" battery? Or, does anybody know of a jeweler on the south side of Chicago that has them (I think I've called most...but you never know.)

Otherwise....I guess I'll have to break down and order some.

Thanks!

Cheap solution... you can get batteries that are just a tad thinner WAY cheaper. (The numbers on the battery are width then thickness. ie 23 something 30 something) I found 2325's for 2.50 a pair at my local Battery plus. A Nickle shim solves the thinkness issue and I save 7.50 each time I swap out batteries.

Whatever you do, be REALLY careful not to lose those two teeny-tiny springs that are on either side of the battery cover. I forget about those little b*st*rds every time, but I've been lucky every time.

That is the only design defect in what I think is otherwise about a perfect product.

The 2330's are only $4.00 at the link I put up.....;) As cheap as $2.00 if you find 50 friends or a DZ concession that needs a set and order 100 at a time.

Hey Girl!
In regards to the small parts that get lost easily- If you spread out a towel and do your work on that, any small parts that fall will stop right there - no rolling around or anything. It's a trick I learned from a watchmaker. His bench was actually covered with a carpet like fabric, but a dishtowel works greaat!

Thanks for the tips all! You guys rock!

The 2325s work great! Just had to fill in that extra space.

I coulda just ordered a bunch, but I slacked and probably wouldn't get them in time for jumping this weekend. But, there are NEVER problems with procrastinating!
