Its part or the honor code that the students have to sign is whats causing the big deal... The university is upset because he's a student officer and then he brings negitive publicity to the school (in thier eyes) by doing this.

Same thing would be if a student got arrested for drugs and the student was a class officer..

In high school two of my friends videod their sex acts with these two girls at this party. The tape was not distributed and at school on the following week my two friends and I got called to the principals office and said that we were in trouble because the rumor was that we taped the girls. I told them that although I was at the party I had nothing to do with it and my friends told the principal that it was none of his business and that if they were suspended they would fight it. He let everyone go. The tape was pretty good though!

Now we're talking about video of minors in the act...that's a legal issue, not one that should be handled by the school. Not saying that I wasn't guilty of wrong doings in high school, but sounds like they were lucky it wasn't turned over to the authorities.

what law says that minors can't have sex?? as far as i know as long as both parties are minors their is not much you could do about it. now if one of the parties involved was of age eg 18 than it would become legal matters.

That depends greatly on State law in the US. Some states the age of concent is 14. Tennessee I think. In Georgia the law is 14 but.....Say a girl is 14 the guy can't be over 18.....If one is over 18 the partner must be at least 16. So, legally I guess I could date a 16 year old....."Hey baby...I got my own car....aaaaannnnddd some beer..." Nahh...I think I'll pass...

Maybe someone can clarify, but I do believe that if both parties are under age there are legal ramifications for the male partner if one wants to pursue it. Don't know the technicalities.

What I was talking about, though, is the fact that there is video tape of minors, which, regarless of your age, is not legal.

Actually it's because #1 One of the guys at the DZ brought his HOTTIE daughters out and we JUST happened to have this discussion #2 We happen to have a packer that is 16 and quite the hottie herself which..... again....brought up this discussion. Two things weren't exactly clear from the article.

#1 Did this take place on any of the real estate owned or under the University's jurisdiction? My college actually owned the entire town of Oxford, OH and had a perpetual lease with all the homeowners.

#2 Were any local, state, or federal regulations broken where the video footage was shot?

If the answer is no, then they all need to fight it. It is pure politics on the part of the University. You could literaly have an orgy in the dorms with people lined up in the hall waiting their turn, but bring in a camera and watch out.
