PhreeZone 20 #1 August 27, 2002 We had the Red Bull APC stop by the DZ this weekend out of the blue. They were on their way to some skate event and saw a DZ was near by so they stopped by to hand out Red Bull. (I drank 3) We worked on talking the one into a tandem and I think she'll be back this week to do one. The truck? (its 6 wheel driven) is the coolest thing ever. Its the Austian version of a personal carrier that it holds 8 people in the rear with driver and navigator up front. Its a full urban assault truck with the powdered/textured rails to hold onto to do your daily neighborhood DZ storming raids with too. The stereo system kicks ass too since its a 12 disk pop up exterior system that just rotates back into the truck at the end of the day... I want one just like that truck... TomAiello 26 #2 August 27, 2002 Yep. I actually got in an argument/discussion with the poor Red Bull PR girl. I was in an "angry at Red Bull" phase. They sponsor a BASE jumper (Felix Baumgartner) who has violated our community ethics quite flagrantly and often. Then again, they also sponsor Shane, and he's pretty cool. I especially like the video where he attempts to get towed behind a B-25 (with red bull written all over it) with a wingsuit. He swings around wildly for a little while, then the hardware holding the rope snaps sending him falling into who knows where. The camera crew finally catches up with him drinking wine and chatting with the owners of whatever house he landed in front of. Great stuff.
