It really does piss off the meter maids . Yesterday was my birthday and that is always a time when I assess my life. I was just thinking yesterday about what I could do with the rest of my life. So many family members, coworkers and friends were really kind to me yesterday. I just wish this whole world could be like that. Do I sound like John Boy Walton yet? Anyway, I don't know Drew personally, but I know of his accident. Trust me, when you go through a serious injury or sickness, the body may be healing, but many times depression is a huge hurdle to overcome. Alright enough of the mushiness! He was at Eugene Skydivers last Saturday. He says he's been healing far faster than the doctors expected. He attributes that to having been in really good shape before the accident. He's now up and walking, although with a cast on one leg. His scars are horrific, but his body is back together enough that he looks like good old Drew. I'm glad to report that his spirits are high, he's enthusiastic about jumping again in a few more months, and it's a pleasure to see a strong will overcome adversity. If only more people had a fraction of the strength Drew is showing, they'd live their lives instead of seeking out pity. Good going, Drew. I admire you.
