The Antichrist just dropped my son off..

Usually he is happier than can be to see me. This time he wouldn't let go of his mother and wouldn't look me in the face?? What the fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can see in his eyes that something is wrong and I can't get it out of him. This is the most frustrating thing in the world!! >:(

To top that off he had 3 days of plaque on his teeth!! >:( I asked him when the last time he brushed his teeth was and he didn't remember!!!!!!!
My 5 year old didn't remember!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:(:S>:(:(>:(

This is insane!!!!!!!!! I asked him what he had for dinner.. 3 bowls of cereal Daddy.. >:(

This is a rant. :( I feel like crying, fighting, tearing someones head off, screaming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!@#$%!#$^!$#^!^%!#^$!#$%$~@$#

SCREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get a notebook and log everything. Have a neighbor or other CREDIBLE person witness and sign each entry (trying to be casual about it with the kid, of course- don't want to get accused of leading him). Start building a case now- you might need it.

Breathe Rob. Breathe.

Better?

Ain't nothin' you can do about it right now other than write it all down to give to your lawyer (not that it will do any good, but the thought of the judge reading it ought to make you snicker).

Karma sez she'll get what's coming to her, and he's smart enough to eventually see through whatever mind trip she's been playing.

Now go enjoy the time you have with him. :)
Oh, and don't ever forget. You are a great dad, and he is a very lucky kid to have you in his life.

God I hope Karma exists..

There with you Bro. Been through all of that and a WHOLE LOT more. You can either choose to let it enrage you or choose to let it not. I prefer not. Just let it strengthen your resolve for the next time you need to write a check to your attorney or take a day off work for the court.

Just remember that he will always be your son and nothing can change that. And as he gets older he will be able to think and make choices for himself. It seems like an eternity now, but trust me, it will pass in the blink of an eye and you will look back and see that you have him forever. Time is on your side.

It just isn't fair.. He didn't do anything to diserve this..

So he is just learning at an early stage. It sucks but thats life. When he gets a little older he will start to be able to SEE the truth. I get to laugh a lot when I see my 6 year old turn his mother's games right back around on her. He's smarter than she is.....

So love him, hold him, teach him, play with him and be his strength. If you do this who do you think he will be drawn to. Do not fight the antichrist as she will take it out on him. Instead fight for him by being there for him.

This is good advice.....I agree with you. Now Rhino, just love your son and show him what life is suppose to be like, with a loving father and someone that puts his feelings before others. Don't get enraged with the antichrist, she will try to turn your son away from you>:(>:(>:(.

good luck Rob.... having been thru the same thing, I know how you feel. It's been a long hard road to get custody of my children (yes, they live with me now) so I know it can be done. You come across as heads up type of guy, I'm sure you'll figure it out.

And if you ever want to know more, I'd be happy to share my experiences with ya

Hey Rob, I don't have any kids of my own but I don't think I could have said it better.

Children are not stupid. By providing love, affection and a safe place for him he will always think of you as a loving and safe person no matter what the Bitch says or does. Your time is coming and when it comes it will be good. That is something she will never have. She has him for the moment you will have him for the rest of your lives together. So keep your chin up and keep your eye on the ball.

Rob,
i'm damn sad to hear that....
children have the ability to know integrity or where it is missing. it is a skill that all humans have at one time or another. a 5year old will be pretty closed down if the world looks unsafe to them. the best you can be is a pillar of love and compassion for him. keep your words and actions and intentions alligned and he will trust that life can be safe and free. the time he spends with the devil will not faze him then, because he will know who he is and where he stands. so don't get mad, even as frustrating as it really is, as he might blame himself. instead, explain your concerns and he will know how much you care....

From someone who has been through some weird family stuff, I can tell you this: When he gets to the age of reason and begins to discover things for himself, he will reach out to you . I know for me, this was the most important point in my life with my dad. It happened the same way with my brother, so I don't think it was isolated. I know this is in the future and you just care about now, but if you see it in the future, grab it - trust me.

Added: Best Wishes.

:( I can feel your pain. :(

take your son an go run with him in a park. go do something that will make him (and you) laugh. do anything that will bring that spark back in his eyes. hug him, love him, kiss him, hold his hand and run with him, go and roll down a hill with him. make him feel that he is the center of your life. show him your feelings. give him the island he needs to escape to before he will go back to the pond of sharks.

it's not by buying him a shitload of stuff or take him to his favorite junk-food place, that will make him long for you - no it's the love, shelter, peace that he will feel when he is with you, that will make him happy.

about your ex? just make her feel like shit, by the way your son will be towards her every time she comes to pick him back up. nothing hurts more, than so see, that your kid does not love you as much as someone else (like your enemy!?)

And when you’re back alone brother, take your rig, get on the next load, jump and scream out all your anger, frustration, pain, hate.

a big brotherly hug coming your way - hang in there
how high can you fly with broken wings ...
life's a journey not a destination

I know this is difficult for you...trust me it is difficult for your son too. My ex and I used to have this fight every time he would bring my girls back from a visit. They would come home all excited because he took them somewhere and bought them this or that. His name is now Mickey Mouse cause that is what he seems to do....provide entertainment.
Hang in with your son. Follow the advice to do the simple things WITH him. You don't have to buy him as my ex seems to think....just LOVE him.

I have dealt with several court cases on this matter too. Make sure to have complete documentation. Pictures are also a good point of reference. The judge is more willing to listen to your side of the story if you appear to have done your homework. I recommend a calendar that you log details in because that gives a time reference to each incident. Also log your ovservations...did he appear withdrawn, no verbal, etc. A recording (cassette) can also be useful but be careful not to upset him with it...be discrete (sp?).

Best of luck...you both are in my thoughts and prayers.

I hear ya Mouth. There are some "Disney dads" (and moms I'm sure) out there that don't want to take care of their kids, but want all the privileges. Like a fun weekend doing everything for them that you can't do because you're working 3 jobs to pay for their clothes, food, home, etc and don't have much left over while the ex doesn't pay child support. BUT child support is not connected to visitation, so they can skip out all they want on that but still see the kids regularly. Must be nice to be able to just have the best part of being a parent. I don't care if you ARE broke right now, everyone is broke at some point (okay, not those rich bastards :P) but that doesn't mean that your kids don't have needs that need provided for by SOMEONE ALL THE TIME, regardless of your situation.

Damn, sorry 'bout the rant. Have a worthless bastard of my own. The worst part is, Merrick stepped in and has been an amazing father, financially, emotionally and every other way that counts, but their biological father gets to hear them call him 'Daddy'. It's just not right.

My son came home from a visit once with BLISTERS from a sunburn on his shoulders. BIG blisters! He'd made the kids stay out all day and didn't put sunblock on him! F***ing idiot.
