hooked 0 #1 September 1, 2002 What is the easiest/best way or what software do I use, to 'grab' a still shot from a video cd? I'm not a computer geek so any help would be appreciated. BPO 0 #2 September 1, 2002 Well.. the easiest way is to press Ctrl-PrintScreen (first press and hold Ctrl, then press PrintScreen once). then start your favorite image-editing program (paintshoppro, ms-pain(t), Word, whatever and press Ctrl-V (first press and hold Ctrl, then press 'V').. anddd...... there's your picture. pilotdave 0 #3 September 1, 2002 print screen will not work for most video software... Try it in windows media player for example. the video will just look black. The reason is that the video is being handled directly by the video card, not the processor, so windows just leaves a space for it to appear. As far as windows itself is concerned, there's nothing there. I don't know the answer to the original question though. There are lots of video editing software out there that'll let you take screen shots. I don't know any free ones off the top of my head though. hooked 0 #4 September 1, 2002 Thanks BPO and Pilot Dave. The printscreen didn't work. I did manage to figure out how to do it though! Play in Media, pause for the frame I wanted then copy and paste to Paint. Then I was able to save to disk and put it in an editing program. Considering the pics are from a video they turned out okay!J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings.
