freeflir29 0 #1 September 11, 2002 I just finished off an "Uncle Bens Southwest Chicken and Rice Bowl." I have to say it was pretty damn good for frozen food. It has rice, chicken, corn, black beans, red peppers, and a moderately spicy saucy. I highly recommend it for my "Single serving friends"

PhreeZone 20 #3 September 11, 2002 Speaking on the same lines... I found this frozen chef in a bag food last week.,.. great food and all that you have to do is cook/thaw the meat, toss the rest in for 15 minutes and its done. The rest of the rice bowls are not high on my list...Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

I have been at Bellsouth for less than 2 years....why is it I have to always tell other people how to do their jobs? So....now I'm on "extended break" to make up for it.... happythoughts 0 #15 September 11, 2002 If I was a gamblin' man, I'd say you were in their IS dept. I don't know why, but it's that way for all Telecom companies. Must be the mindset from the old "regulated" days. All the VP's from the 80's are gone, but the middle management is still there. The writer of Dilbert worked for PacBell. Cooking note- a crockpot is the greatest thing for a single guy. If you have one, let me know. I'll send you my chicken recipe (I can't believe I'm writing this on a skydiving forum). JohnJug 0 #17 September 11, 2002 I'd have to agree that Uncle Ben's bowls are pretty good. My main complaint about them, and most frozen meals, is that they are too small. They seem more like an appetizer than a meal. For easy cookin' I still have to go with mac and cheese. Or good ol' spagetti. Another Bill

SkymonkeyONE 4 #23 September 11, 2002 Quotethe boston market dinners are good too. mm mashed potatos!!!!! Boston Market here sucks completely. Too bad, I really like the items they serve; they just fuck it up in prep. As far as one-pot meals goes, I am a complete Schwans fan. The dude rolls up in a truck, drops off your chow, then you stick it in the freezer till it's time to eat. I think the very-longest any of their products requires in an oven or on the stove is 23 minutes. Anyway, my favorite Schwans food is the "chicken rigatoni(sic?) alfredo". It cooks in 16 minutes and is awesome. Chuck
jfields 0 #24 September 11, 2002 QuoteBoston Market here sucks completely. Too bad, I really like the items they serve; they just fuck it up in prep. Same here. Ours always manage to dry out the chicken and randomly screw up everything else. Luckily, in the DC area, we have a really good substitute. Very similar idea, except the execution is excellent. http://www.chickenout.com/
 jessefs 0 #25 September 11, 2002 If anyone has a Trader Joes store near them, they have awesome frozen meals there. <* Spread the Love! *>
 Prev 1 2 Next Page 1 of 2 Join the conversation You can post now and register later.
