Shot 3 tandems, sold two videos, including my first full cost tandem. Got to jump on the concessions ticket and got some cash too! An absolutely fabulous feeling. Conquered my fear of being close to that hideous contraption called a tandem rig with master/student. Got close and low, sun to my back, finally remembered everything three whole times in a row.
Got asked to video a 4 stack and pulled it off. Free ride on that one too.
Flew as part of a 4 way base on a 12 way hybrid. First, uh, real hybrid. So I got three jump tickets and earned the money to pay for my fun jumps.
My best skydiving weekend yet.
Oh yeah, I got my D-license too! Hee Hee!

Incredible skydiving at SDC's Nationals! Golden Knights Gold taking the Gold Medal back was a sight to behold today!! Airspeed and DeLand Majik were awesome as well. Now onto 8-way and more fun....

2 times I was about pushed from the plane on the climb up:3:1
2 quick freeflys that were nothing out of the normal, 1 umm.... welll we tried to get a 4 way round then transform it to a horny gorilla but someone nameless..... (CRAIG) did'nt make it to the 3 way so we transitioned with out him. 2 of us nailed the leg wrap then we towed the third... lots of fun again. 3 low quality surfs but for some reason everyone was talking about how the speed just was'nt there under canopy even though there was no wind.
Owe beer for meeting DenGopher finally...Another regular I can add to the list I've met.

You mainland people are making me jealous. I'm in a less than ideal place for a newbie to skydive, and the DZ is extremely tourist oriented...sigh....not many wild parties here....

Oh, and 2:3:0, including a mostly successful 2 way for the first time ever and an (standing up) end to a series of PLFs. Very cool, makes me grin if I think about it. Now if I can only make it through the week without killing anyone at work....

1 for first time chasing a tandem out (in my new freefly suit) of the otter with my Dad as the TM and my matey John on the front. Awesome!
1 for the first time I haven't walked away from a jump!

I didn't wash my track speed off fully from the 7-way I'd organised and had line dump. My toggle came out of its pocket and locked through the ring. I'd unstowed the other break b4 I realised it and had a fun time spiraling and trying to get the bastard out.....about 1200ft I realised I might not get it out....1200ft on a windy day over the freeway. Made the call to stick with it- wrapped my left toggle around my wrist several times to stop the bastard spinning whilst I used both hands to pull down the riser and to clear it. Rear risered like anything and made it backl over DZ property, was too close to the fence and wasn't sure I'd clear it.
I erred on the side of caution and sasheyed as to come up short of the fence. Flared and caught my ankle in a rabbit hole.....
Our camera-man's gf was the only one who noticed I wasn't really getting up. I climbed over the fence and hobbled 250m before he got to me and I collapsed again.
Ankle is sore and bruised but I'll be jumping next w/e hopefully!
Thanks to Matt for coming to my rescue; to both Oli and Matt for the awesome camera work this w/e, to John and congrats for his 1st Tandem and first dock in freefall (that's a case!!!!!!!
), to Sal for her first girly jump (with 3 freefall kisses[and footage]) back in Oz, and to Cam for the piggybacks!
Enough post-whoring for now?
