hey everyone, (new and old)
Ive noticed that a SH!TLOAD of ppl have just entered our little home. I feel like a senior watching the freshman class come in.
I just wanted to say to all the newbies( and expect this will be kind of an orientation for them)
1)WELCOME
2) If you are as new to the sport as you are to this site DONT hestiate to ask any questions! you will get answers from everyone with all that info you should be able to learn REALLY FAST!
3) if you are new to the site and old to the sport... you should like it here.
4) just a word of advice...some people get cranky here. some more often then others but all in all we ARE a family and will treat you as such. but we ask the same in return.
5) oh and dont forget to thanks "Sangiro" aka "HH" for building this place!

Hi There!
I'm new to this forum, so I'll introduce myself. My name's Tom. I'm not really a skydiver, as the last time I made a skydive was over a year ago (I've been jumping three or four times a week, though).
Anyway, I started reading this forum recently when one of my friends made his final jump, and there was some information about it here.
You guys seem cool enough that it might even convince me to try jumping out of planes again. Thanks.

Well hi then. Just wanna make Tom feel better and say that he's much more a skydiver than I am since I'm just making my first tandem tomorrow. Quite excited about it really (gonna be a long day at work). Thinking I might go for my 'A' if it turns out to be as much fun as I think it is, but that thread about selling your house for jump tickets is sort of a deterrent :). Anyway, just came here to pick up some vital info about skydiving (such as alternate uses for sheep and toilet paper), and I feel almost rude just lurking... so hello!

By the same token, take advice given here with a grain of salt. There are a lot of people here, everything from instructors with 10,000 jumps to uncurrent 100-jump wonders jumping parachutes they don't know how to fly. Read their replies with that in mind.

6) you will also see some weird stuff so don't be scared if all of a sudden you see a sheep walking by. Clay do you have her under leash? or she's not into that? We are skydivers, we are crazy.
