I just got back from the DZ (unfortunately I didnt jump, today) the new dz is up and running...out of the same building(same room) as the gravityzone. they've only been open for 3 weekends(this is the third) they are trying to keep a larger a/c running but are worried about the number of jumpers. I told them about the DZ.com gathering and they were pretty sure they would have the king air or otter. they also said that if we can CONFIRM the number of jumpers they WILL BE ABLE TO WORK IT OUT! so here it is. please PM me for two reasons #1-- If you are hoping to stay in my place while you are here I NEED TO KNOW! I am going house hunting this week(the number of guests may help me make my decision on the size of my apt) be forewarned though...I may live upto 40 miles away from the dz.( i am hoping to fiond something cheaper and closer then that though, without losing the quality) #2-- so I can keep the DZ informed... it may be in OUR BEST INTEREST to call them frequently the # is 1-800-964-jump(5867) let them know you will be able to come into the dz during that weekend...thye know me as Joe "the new guy from the air force base." the Landing area is a shuttle drive away I hope you can all deal with that. I will jump tommorw and have more info for ya's then. pm me with the CONFIRMED date and I WILL keppp them informed!! Maybe if we bug them enough they'll think we are a boogie and offer us discounts! skycat 0 #7 September 15, 2002 Derek and I plan on heading out there the 8th and driving back to Denver the 11th. Not sure what days we are jumping or anything like that. I know we are doing Mystère by Cirque du Soleil or Blue Man Group probably sunday night, but if there is other who want to go we are more than willing to switch the night. dunesurfer 0 #8 September 15, 2002 Is it still on for nov 9-10 as stated in previous posts? I would like to go as long as no one minds a noob going along. I am a low time jumper, new to the sport and don't know many other skydivers yet. This sounds like a great opportunity to meet and jump with other jumpers. jtval 0 #14 September 16, 2002 well like I said I will be in a place by the end of this month SO as soon as I know where I live I will send invitations (figuatively speaking) I DID get 1 jump in on sunday. What a deceiving view. Plus I already bought my ticket package out of O'hare to Vegas on Dec 27th, 7 nights in Circus Circus and out of Vegas back to O'hare on Jan 3rd. This is an update for those who are/will come to Vegas... I just looked at a 2 bedroom apt. pretty nice place right across from the college still about 30 miles away from the DZ. and about 10(I guess) miles west of the strip.
