JDBoston 0 #103 September 23, 2002 Without knowing either of you (though it's possible if you jump at Jumptown - don't know from your profile) and taking the chance of sounding like an asshole, my gut feel on this situation is that he isn't interested, but lacks the balls and/or courtesy to tell you. It should be HIS job to pursue you, since he asked you out to begin with. There are numerous other possible explanations of his behavior, but this is the most PROBABLE one IMHO, based on how most guys I know think and function. I would recommend not wasting any more brain cycles on this dude. Joe
Cajones 0 #104 September 23, 2002 Or, maybe he is a nice guy - as other people have told you. Maybe, just maybe he's got his shit together, and he realized you are a really nice girl. Then he also knew he was going to be leaving, and didn't want to start any kind of relationship with you. Maybe you are a kick ass chick, he didn't want to hurt when he was leaving... skygal3 0 #110 September 23, 2002 nah...i'm a truth kinda girl myself...trust me, if he would have said "hey, I just want to f*%k you and then I'm outta here" it would have been a completely different story. Hey, if thats all you want, just say it! I can respect that...But he started to say just the opposite, which, for a good deal of time, made me so confused..."is this just a line? or is this the truth"...and he had the chance but did not want to even just use me for that...so that is why my head hurts!!! (other than banging it on my desk all morning...) I hate work. ...no, second thought, I just hate the idiots at my work...
wrightskyguy 1 #111 September 23, 2002 It doesn't matter if he is an instructor or not, It's not good business to date the customers. People, women in particular, don't generally go to the DZ to be hit on. There is nothing quite so pitiful as someone on the DZ staff using the student population as his own personal dating pool. If you want to date a staff member, wait till you're no longer a student. John Wright World's most beloved skydiver

Well, as a newbie jumper who still has her youth, I have visions of a happy society where people tell the truth, just like they see it. I can't tell you how good it feels to slur out "You know what I think of you..." every weekend. Sure, it has caused uncomfortable situations the next day. Also, many people don't like hearing that they're "jerks", "meanies", or "the devil himself", but I find this information helplul in aiding others with their self-improvement. And, I really just want to help people. And what's hair dye? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
