freeatlast 0 #1 September 21, 2002 I've just made it to Toronto and was wondering if anyone can reccomend somewhere to jump ... I also need to hire a rig as my new rig won't be ready for a couple of weeks !!!! I'm only there for a week but it would be nice to "put my knees in the breeze" Especially as I haven't jumped for 4 weeks and its beginning to hurt !!!! skypuppy 1 #2 September 22, 2002 Just look in the yellow pages under parachuting/skydiving.... The closest place is probably SWOOP in Dundas, but there's also Parachute School of Toronto, Skydive Toronto, Burnaby, and new place at Dunnville (close to St. Catharines), Simcoe, Gananoque and Grand Bend Sport Parachute Center within a couple of hours... The whole of south-western Ontario is your oyster! If some old guy can do it then obviously it can't be very extreme. Otherwise he'd already be dead. freeatlast 0 #3 September 22, 2002 Thanks for that But are any of them easy to get to without a car ???I wasn't sure if they were 7 day a week DZ's or weekend only ones and at least one of the websites is under construction, so I thought someone out there might be able to answer things better than the yellow pages !!! As I'm only here for a couple of days it might just save me a couple of hours on the phone trying to work buses/trains etc out ...

Skyrad 0 #5 September 23, 2002 Four weeks???? What do you mean four weeks? Where did you jump four weeks ago? Was that Ireland? When did you get to Toronto? I though you were in NYC. freeatlast 0 #8 September 24, 2002 If only I could But I don't think they would like it .... Perhaps the canadians could arrange a "tower-day" event .... That would be awesome ...

freeatlast 0 #10 September 24, 2002 Sounds like a plan, now all I need to do is learn BASE But I'm sure you could find a tv company willing to sponsor such an event .... Do you think they'd let us stay to watch the game afterwards ???? I'm going tomorrow to see the 'jays play ... should be fun ...
