Also to students, if the student rig that you are using does not have a colapsible slider, there isn't any real use in loosening your chest strap as the slider will not allow the lines to spread allowing the canopy to flatten out, which is what makes it glide better. Just a thought

1:1:3 ;)

Flew up to Citrusdal DZ for the Saturday in a Cherokee 180. Had a really cool jump with an American named Mike over there, and a fantastic swim in the river afterwards.

The three is double brandy and cokes owed/required/downed by me and my passengers Kevin and Murdoch after the flight back to Stellenbosch - the Cape Doctor (southeasterly wind) had started up during the day, making for an interesting takeoff at Citrusdal, a bumpy flight back, and a rather scary crosswind landing at Stellenbosch.

And thanks to the unknown pilot from Cape Town who showed me "how not to do it" with his PA-160 takeoff from Citrusdal :D

:P:2:0

Weather sucked this weekend, but still made a couple of good jumps.
For some reason I had a flash back yesterday at the DZ and I felt like I was in Junior High???

You might be a skydiver if... Your having sex and she whispers in your ear "I've never done this before" and you yell out "Case of Beer"

1 First jump on my new Pepto-Bismol suit! Flys great!

Like they say at Indy, it's not the car, it's the motor. Good luck to you and all participants.

Thanks flyhi! The engine's running and ready to go!

See, by your profile, that you like formation skydiving yourself! Can you make it out for the Boyz-Ways? (the male counterpart to our JFTC)?

Unfortunately, not. Possible move to left coast next year means I have to hit everything out east I can. Have talked to Billy Weber and his gf Sarah, who is a participant. Sounds like a big time out there. They were jazzed.
Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

Jumps described in the weekend thread.
Beers? Geez, probably more than that....
1 case, first Caravan jump. 1, first jump with the Flying Elvises. 1, 1st successful horny gorillia. 1, 1st jump at Kankakee. I'm sure there are more, but damn, that's enough.

first jump with the Flying Elvises

Congrats on the Elvi jump! Heard they're a bunch of real fun guys!B|
Was Muscat amongst the group with you?
ltdiver

Let me specify here. The Original Flying Elvises. The ones that did the movie Honeymoon in Vegas. There are that I know of only 2 or 3 of them left. I shall not name names here, as that is not my place. One must remember there is a difference between the Flying Elvises and the Flying Elvi, the formaer is the real deal.
I jumped with two guys who were in a movie with Nicolas Cage. In fact, in the movie, one of them was seated right next to Mr Cage.
And I repeat.....life is GOOD!
