YELL at me!

Recommended Posts

Alright, I said it, do it, YELL! I have to get back into shape, so everytime you see me just lounging out on the site at night, YELL! I have to lift weights.

Last sememster was a ball buster for me, so I didn't work out as much (like once a week, instead of 5 times a week), then I blew up my knee and I haven't worked out since. So I'm a lard-ass who's lost 3 inches off my arms and all kinds of strength. Since I still can't run (fucking knee) I need to step up my weight training to like it used to be so I can get my size back. Then once I can do hard core cardio again, I'll be in like Flynt. :)
So, what are you going to do if I'm just hanging around instead of lifting weights? YEEELLLL!!

Actually, if you time it / do it right, you shouldn't have to run out any landing.

I've brought my Stiletto loaded 1.35:1 in on hot no-winders and only needed to take a couple of short steps (bad thing to do) or just slid (right thing to do) out the last couple of feet. On a few lucky occasions I was able to save a little extra flare and used it to pop the canopy up to a gentle stand-up.

Hey, Dave! What are you doing reading this? Go pump som iron! You're not a man, you're a silky-boy. Get lifting!

While that usually works fine (I often do that in no-wind conditions) it doesn't take much - a gopher hole or a rock, or even sticky mud - to turn it into a broken ankle. Running under those circumstances is a lot safer for your knees and ankles.

I can run short distances at the same speed I used to be able to, if I run more then maybe 25 yards at a time, then my knee f**k'n kills me. Out of the 10 jumps or so I've put on my new canopy, I've only had to run out 2, although I did fall over on the last one (funny video)... :P

Every week and a half or so I'll go run an easy 2 miles or so and the next morning I'm popping Ibuprofin like it was candy...If this keeps up for a few more weeks, I'm going back to my Ortho to see if something needs to be done.

Oh, just got back from the gym, nice workout, I couldn't bench more then about 220lbs for 6 reps, I guess it'll take a few weeks to get my strength back, but damn did it feel good! :)
