ramon 0 #1 September 25, 2002 I received a CD (imation 24 x 700mb) from a client with Databases on it. My CD ROM will not see the CD, neither will our CD writers (Plexwriter 12/10/32s says invalid CD) and I have put it on a couple of different other CD ROMS also. It does say there is 325 meg free space. Any ideas I am not a hardware guy? thanks in advance ramon"Revolution is an abrupt change in the form of misgovernment.", Ambrose Bierce. Cajones 0 #2 September 25, 2002 If you've tried it on several computers, it's probably a "bad burn" - ask them to send you a new one. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.
quade 4 #3 September 25, 2002 Ok, this is going to be a whacky idea, so forgive me. Have you tried putting it into a Mac? I'm NOT saying the data was written in some Mac specific format, but the Mac CD Rom drives and the software that goes with them can read just about -anything-. Has saved the day a number of times.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Kris 0 #4 September 25, 2002 Quade is definitely onto something. You may also want to try throwing it into a Unix box to see if it will open it up. KrisSky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
