rgoper 0 #1 September 26, 2002 Quotesee attached 2003 50th anniversary Corvette. and a peek at the spy pictures of the all new C-6 due out on 2004. i think it's kewel. Quotejust ran accross this as well: Even more is going on with Chevy trucks. One of the most exciting models to wear the bowtie is the upcoming SSR (Super Sport Roadster). The SSR, which can only be described as a hot-rod pickup truck, features a retractable hardtop roof, a pickup truck bed, and a powerful V8 engine driving the rear wheels. Along the same vein is the Silverado SS. A sport version of the full-size Silverado pickup, the SS features unique styling, a 345-horsepower V8 and full-time all-wheel drive. The rest of the Silverado light-duty line features new front-end styling similar to the Avalanche, as well as upgraded interiors that include available adjustable pedals and the satellite-based XM radio. And speaking of Avalanche, a version without the body cladding will be available for 2003. Four-wheel steering is spreading further through the Chevy truck lineup—available on the Silverado 1500HD short bed and the Suburban 2500, giving the full-size SUV the turning radius of a small Saturn sedan. Finally, the Express full-size van has been restyled for 2003, featuring a number of industry firsts including available all-wheel drive and optional driver-side access doors. jpeg attached as well.--Richard-- "We Will Not Be Shaken By Thugs, And Terroist"
skygal3 0 #2 September 26, 2002 ooohh...the c-6...nice, very nice...I am a foreign car girl, but I must say one thing...I had the chance to drive a 2001 vette this summer (looooooong story...oog...) and they are really, really smooth...nice nice...I didn't even realize it, I was driving it like I would drive my acura, I looked at the spedometer and I was doing 114, 85 around a curve..(w/out even being intentional)! It was amazing, such a fun car to drive!

Scoby 0 #5 September 26, 2002 Not to be a hater, but doesn't the new C6 look a lot like the RX-8? I'm still excited, though. It seems that GM is finally getting some decent product. But, y'know, the cool kids are going to be driving the Cadillax XLR (which is built on the C6 platform).
rgoper 0 #6 September 26, 2002 QuoteBut, y'know, the cool kids are going to be driving the Cadillax XLR (which is built on the C6 platform). you could be right, but there's only one american sportscar, built in the U.S.A. that has now 50 years of heritage, and that's the Chevrolet Corvette. i had a cadilax, a lexus, but no one knew what they were, no heritage, but when someone sees a Vette, they know what it is, just like they know what a Harley is.--Richard-- "We Will Not Be Shaken By Thugs, And Terroist"

Scoby 0 #10 September 26, 2002 We're actually getting a Holden in the states this year. It's the Holden Monaro, which is getting tarted up and presented to us as the new Pontiac GTO. It should be interesting.
