Shark 0 #3 October 1, 2002 QuoteThe two men said they were on the Millennium Hotel's roof wearing parachutes, but didn't plan to jump. They say they were wearing parachutes in case they fell while standing on the roof of the 34-story building. And just because I bring my rig on a commercial jet doesn't mean I want to jump out of it...

nws01 0 #6 October 1, 2002 To bad my hotel is only five stories. I need a bigger hotel! One that is real tall and has a huge concealed parking lot in the back. I would have a BASE weekend and invite all of you to stay at the hotel for a considerable discount of course.

freeflir29 0 #10 October 1, 2002 What are they going to do...charge them with attempted BASE? Or just trespassing on the roof. Sounds like they won't have much of a case. My other question is....how did they get caught if they were wearing rigs. Sounds like they needed a shorter exit count. Maybe just C'YA instead of the the 123 part.... bbarnhouse 0 #11 October 1, 2002 I know a certain gal out here that got busted for BASE too....sometimes the rock ya hide under isn't quite big enough....

With this terrorist stuff, Ya never know---- Easy Does It
 indyz 1 #18 October 2, 2002 I like the part where they say that trespassing shouldn't be illegal if you plan on making a BASE jump.
 fasterfaller 0 #19 October 2, 2002 They should have went for it anyway . Like a rent a cop is that tough . If they would have registered they could have got out of the trespassing charge since they paid for room .
