Checked out the tracking and strike probability maps for Hurricane Lili. This is gonna be a close one.

Projected landfall is as early as Thursday afternoon. It's projected to be a Cat3 but could even become a Cat4.

Wheee! Let's have a hurricane party!

On the up side, if it hits Thursday, we should be halfway decent come Saturday and Sunday.

Here Here Zennie! I was trying to scheme a way to go jump with the girls tommorow just in case this thing does hit, but it looks like that wont work out.

I'm actually gonna be in New Orleans this weekend for a surprise b-day party for a friend of mine. 15 of us from all over the country are going to meet him and his girlfriend (the organizer) in a restaurant. Should be fun.

The problem is I get in Thursday night, and no one else gets in til Friday. Any New Orleans residents here wanna grab a beer Thursday night and show me some cool bars? If so PM me.

No, no, no - that's not what they're saying. If the hurricane hits land tomorrow in Louisiana, we'll have good weather for the weekend - it just may be a little gusty though. ->Forecast for Aggieland isn't too bad - partly cloudy, winds 5-10mph w/ gusts up to 20-25mph possible.

Yeah but it looks like theres a good chance for rain Sunday and I'm not sure if I can make it down Sat.

Also, my town is one of the "safe evacuation locations" where they put people up at the hotels and such when they evacuate. From what I've heard from my friends at the Sheriff's Dept alot of the coast is being evacuated and the hotels are filling up.
