Sebazz1 2 #26 October 3, 2002 I am not familiar with StarTrac's. But I have now done a few demo's on my Stiletto and a few on the Falcon. I will always use a big canopy from now on. for the simple fact that the crowd rarely knows whether a landing was cool or not and on the bigger canopies you can hang out longer in the air. Unless the winds are just screaming it's big canopies for me... I like the name StarTrac... 260~ 280 sounds like the perfect size too... I wish that the demo rating did not specify the canopy you did your jumps on. I actually did my jumps on several canopies but it says Falcon 235 on my card. Oh well. wrightskyguy 1 #28 October 4, 2002 I suppose you could probably get a "letter of proficiency" from someone at the FAA. I don't know how hard that would be, but I bet it's pretty tough to get an official to come watch you jump. Even if you did get this "letter of Proficiency", good luck getting demo insurance, which is a must have item. Demo jumps into stadiums are fun but, they're not just another skydive. You're probably better off finding pro rated people to do it till you're qualified. John Wright John Wright World's most beloved skydiver
Cajones 0 #29 October 4, 2002 I've done many stadium jumps, including football games. I have had a PRO rating, but I've heard of people getting the FAA equivalent. The laws of physics are strictly enforced.
