Magistr8 0 #1 October 5, 2002 I don't know if this thread has ever been made, but the snow I woke up to this morning has me thinking about how winter will be rearing it's ugly head around here in Winnipeg, Canada soon and was wondering what kind of temps all the DZ.commers can expect this winter. P.S. Florida and Texas are to be excluded from this highly scientific post for deprression will severly alter results. "Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools." skygal3 0 #2 October 5, 2002 It gets pretty cold here in New England...I wore a turtleneck yesterday and was looking forward to a nice sweater today. I woke up to some pretty nasty winds but when I opened my door it was like a convection oven! It is probably 75 and balmy here right now...the down side is my DZ is pretty much done for the season, but I am not...looks like little kate may have to follow the geese and migrate... Magistr8 0 #5 October 5, 2002 Oohh. We are on a different temp scale we have gotten in the past to -30 which is actually pretty avg with wind and all. That would be somewhere around your 0 degrees F. OOhh just writing that makes me cold. If you live in Canada or plan on visiting please bring a shovel and do a canadian proud. "Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools." christoofar 0 #8 October 5, 2002 I think the coldest it has got here in south texas in recent times was in December 1989. In San Antonio it dipped to 6F near Christmas, in Austin I think it went to 4F, San Marcos: 2F. In 1985 we had well over a foot of snow blanket most of South Texas. In North Texas, up near Dallas... it snows every year. We're not hot ALL the time... just 99.9999% of the time. ____________________________________________________________ I'm RICK JAMES! Magistr8 0 #11 October 5, 2002 I'm hip to the snugglin scene, it's grest in the summer too when the breeze is a blowin and your on the beach with your queen. Ahem yeah I like it too. Checking the forcast for today we are just starting to see the first of the snow for the year. Snow the next 2 days a few CENTIMETERS at least with, I dare say it, cloudy skies to follow.drats "Impossible is a word to be found only in the dictionary of fools." Skitzo 0 #12 October 5, 2002 Is it normal for snow to be falling already there? Seems a bit soon. Do you guys keep jumping, or do you shut down? I'm originally from Ohio, there were a few of us that kept jumping in the snow, really freakin cold, but when you really need a jump temps. don't seem to matter. A couple times my fingers were so froze other people had to take my rig off, but the jumps were worth it.- "How do you keep your feet on the ground when you know you were born to fly?"
