skybytch 273 #1 October 9, 2002 Okay, so I've been kinda bored this evening. Ever do a google search on your own name? I've done it before; didn't find anyone new posing as me this time, just the same folk singer/songwriter from Minnesota. It's also kinda fun to do searches on names from your past. Tonight I found the man who was superintendent/principal of my high school all four years I was there (it was a really small school in a really small town; I took piano lessons from his wife so he knew me). Also found my freshman and sophomore year counselor, and the leader of a youth group I was part of my senior year. Haven't decided if I'll email them "out of the blue" or not. Could be quite interesting...
Zlew 0 #2 October 9, 2002 I'm proud to say that if you do a google image search on Zach and Skydive..... My ugly mug will in fact show up. that made me feel so special. whoohoo Z
brits17 0 #3 October 9, 2002 hehe, that's hilarious. i called my old high school golf coach 'out of the blue' last month who i hadn't talked to in a couple years. that was a blast just chatting about recent events and catching up. she thought i was absolutely crazy for skydiving now, never expected the golfer to go to the other end of the spectrum. :) _______________________ aerialkinetics.com

quade 4 #5 October 9, 2002 Well, I just did a ego-google search of "quade" in just the images section and I think these will explain everything. http://gallery.euroweb.hu/html/q/quade/ http://community.webshots.com/photo/26252738/30984175YIvcRdFqiW http://www.aussiethings.com.au/babynames/qboy.htm http://www.ens.gu.edu.au/stats/aes3121/lectures/exam_ho.htm#quade http://www.chem.sunysb.edu/msl/LEGO/quad/quad.html http://members.aol.com/grandarmy/page170.htm http://www.bciburke.com/images_scrapbook/wiplay6.jpg Oddly enough, it -didn't- turn up anything about "Total Recall".quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

AndyMan 7 #9 October 9, 2002 Fortunately, all the really embarasing stuff has long expired from google. I've been on the 'net since the early 90's, so there's been a lot of stuff out there over the years. There's REAL good stuff in groups.google.com, but I'm safe cause you have to search on my old email addresses, which nobody knows. The olderst post I could find was from '94, and was asking for help with Corel Draw on OS/2. Anybody remember when OS/2 wasn't coaster-ware? _Am _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. AggieDave 6 #10 October 9, 2002 Did that once, apparently I'm some sort of Pastor or Minister in Minnesota... Then again Lund up there is a common name, sort of.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

indyz 1 #12 October 9, 2002 I have a common first name and a common last name so lots of hits aren't surprising, but: Semen Sales From Brian Martin So, yeah. I think I posted a bunch of other, less gross, ones a while back.
fudd 0 #13 October 9, 2002 I've done this before, but never with google. The biggest suprise was that I have my name on a solution I submitted to securityfocus a couple of years ago http://online.securityfocus.com/bid/2029/solution/ There are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
kingbunky 3 #14 October 9, 2002 i was actually doing this last weekend, searching for high school classmates. didn't find anything on any of them. i have a feeling my graduating class is a lot like jay and silent bob: "the internet? what the f*ck is the internet?" i did find mention of a guy i knew when i was 13 though. apparently he is a plant manager for a sporting goods company in ontario and he had to testify about imported golf balls. i have exciting friends."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." Kinaa 0 #15 October 9, 2002 I did that a year ago, and find out that there is actually a web page of another Igor Pesun. He is a professor in University of Minnesota. He happened to be my far relative, as my grandmother told me. I contacted him by e-mail and he was surprised and happy. His father came from my country in USA in early 70s and we together managed to build our family tree. It turned out that there is more Pesun's in USA and Canada than here in Croatia.Igor

WFFC 1 #17 October 9, 2002 Quote Okay, so I've been kinda bored this evening. Ever do a google search on your own name? OK...So what the hell. I had to be the opposite of geekgirl Bytch and be geekboy Michael. Did the search and actually came up as hit number 5,6,7 & 10. #5 was backpacking across Europe advice I gave a couple years ago. #6 was the staff page at the DZ. #7 was the customer page at skydivewings.com & #10, the contact page for Ground-Rush.com. Interestingly, nothing came up for the WFFC, although I don't use my last name there so it wouldn't be picked up. If I do the same search and toss in 'skydive', I come back in the first ten hits. Definately a way to inflate anyone's ego beyond belief. ----- ~~~Michael
freeflir29 0 #18 October 9, 2002 Nothing on the full name but when I shorten to just Clay Fowler it seems I designed some nifty software. www.tec.army.mil/TD/tvd/survey/Demeter.html
jumpy 0 #19 October 9, 2002 Ahh we used to do this in class instead of actual work The first one in the list with my name was some kinda online obituary... That don't boost the ego
ernokaikkonen 0 #20 October 9, 2002 I get only references to me. No surprise since there are only 6 million Finns, half of them female, my last name isn't too common and my first name is quite rare. Couple of hits to my DZ's website I've been webmastering, one hit on another DZ's discussion board. A couple school related sites, and a couple from my present job. Earlier today I looked up wfaulkner's page to find the beer rules(again), and the second hit sure isn't an ego booster...Erno
