JeffGordon 0 #1 October 9, 2002 I work for the Naval Space and Warfare Command Center here at the Naval Weapons station in Charleston, SC. On October 15, the navy will turn over administration of all it's networks to one company. When NMCI (Navy Marine Corps Intranet) is implemented, all civilian contractors will lose e-mail, file sharing privileges, and printer privileges. I can do with out file sharing or printers but how does a programmer / analyst work without e-mail?
AggieDave 6 #2 October 9, 2002 Makes sense on the security side of things, though. Sucks to loose e-mail...setup a rogue sendmail server and get all the programmers on it. I'm sure it'd take for ever for them to figure out that's what the traffic was...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
