French versus American....

Recommended Posts

As some of you may remember I went off to Europe and happened to be in France for Bastille Day....:$:D:P
Thankyou to my American Defence Personnel friends for reminding me that I should be after "a nice AmericanGI"....
Y'anyways here's two pics to reassure you that I did behave myself, and only asociated myself with company befitting the lady that I am....

On another tangent: Congratulations to everyone who competed in the State Championships last Weekend. Special Mention must go to Nagambie X for driving all the way up (+14 hours?!) to compete, it was awesome to have you guys here....;)

No, I hung out with the Aeroflot attendants under the arc du triomphe but yes the circus midgets were found congregating all along Champs Élysées....especially around about 9am....:P
That said..... I'll take an Aeroflot attendant anyday over a certain blonde-haired, blue-eyed member of the french 4-way team.....but that's another story entirely!!:D

Ughhh, you hung out with Aeroflot flight attendants and Circus Midgets in front of Planet Hollywood on the "Champs Eeelisees". Bad, bad, bad.......;)

No, no. Those are French Army personnel. You just didn't recognize them with their arms down. ;)

I don't want anyone to think that I like the French, but in fairness, the French disasters in WWII and Indo-China were not due to the quality of the troops, but due to the ineptness of their politicians and generals.

I believe that American GIs are very happy to have French soldiers fight alongside them (but they'd prefer Brits).

Here's a photo along the same lines. You may see this pic in Skydiving Magazine next month, along with my "Le Grand Saut" feature.

I know another jumper that works for Sun Micro. (Vanges) We've canned our subscription to skydiving: too much BASE and advertising with not enough skydiving content! I've been there done that, but BASE ain't skydiving...What was he like?

I don't work for Sun - I got it off eBay B|- it was the only clean shirt I had at the time. I work for Boeing (if I don't get a layoff notice at the end of this month! :o).

Fournier was tres kewl. Only speaks French, but very, very charming with lots of charisma.

Fournier seems like a really nice guy, although everything he says is through a translator. I actually did a skydive with him when I was home in Saskatchewan about a week before he was supposed to do his jump. We are at this small dropzone and this guy shows up with a camera crew and such and me and 2 buddies go up in a Cessana with him and do a 4 way. It was really neat.
