SanDiegoRW 0 #1 October 11, 2002 I graduated AFF on Wednesday! Woohoo! I have to say that I thought my first solo freefall was never going to end. Not that it is a bad thing. inconveniences all at once on the opening too. My slider was stuck up, my end cells were not inflated, and my toggles were jacked up. Oh well, all easy fixes. Tomorrow is going to be fun..... BTW, What kind of beer should I buy anyway? -Kenny

ChileRelleno 0 #6 October 11, 2002 CONGRATULATIONS!!! As we've told another guy "buy a keg of a good import" and then announce that your throwing a keg party to celebrate your graduation. This will make you VERY popular! ChileRelleno-Rodriguez Bro#414 Hellfish#511,MuffBro#3532,AnvilBro#9, D24868
Sebazz1 2 #7 October 11, 2002 Shit shit shit!! End cell closure?!!? Shoulda chopped it... Just kidding man, just kidding...
SanDiegoRW 0 #8 October 11, 2002 Well if I have a keg party it won't be at my place.....I know better than to have a bunch of drunk skydivers here. hahaha Party at the DZ? I will have to check with them.......anyone from SDSD know if they would have a problem with it there? -Kenny
geanky 0 #9 October 11, 2002 i don't think any DZ has a problem with having a party learn to fly in 3d
SanDiegoRW 0 #10 October 11, 2002 Yeah I thought about chopping hahaha That would have made for a good first jump story though huh? I would have had to come up with something better than the end cell closure though.... But I would have to put a hole in it before I brought it back for the story to be worth a shit. Oh well! -Kenny
mouth 0 #11 October 11, 2002 Wahoo.....way to go on the graduation and on handling the problems. Beer in bottles is always good. Green beer is better unless you can find something in some really pretty bottles then the chicks will oh and ah over them. Either way it will all be drank. Lisa -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
Enrique 0 #12 October 11, 2002 Congratulations! One more addition to the skyfallin' freakies. See you at the DZ on Saturday. Enrique
happythoughts 0 #13 October 11, 2002 Wahoo! You are on the road to financial insolvency. Welcome to skydiving. Be safe. Have fun.
SanDiegoRW 0 #14 October 11, 2002 Hey Bill, are you staff at Z-hills? -Kenny
flyhi 24 #15 October 11, 2002 QuoteShit shit shit!! End cell closure?!!? Shoulda chopped it... Actually, this is the perfect reason to jump a 9-cell chute. Even with end cell closure, you still have a 7-cell, and people jump those everyday. Beer? Cold, free is never wrong. Congrats, dude!Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. happythoughts 0 #16 October 11, 2002 QuoteHey Bill, are you staff at Z-hills? Nope. Parking lot local. But I've been here for a while. I kinda know everybody and what goes on. What's up?
SanDiegoRW 0 #17 October 11, 2002 I was just wondering if you were Billy, one of the Staff members there. I did my second tandem with him back in August. -Kenny
happythoughts 0 #18 October 11, 2002 QuoteI was just wondering if you were Billy, one of the Staff members there. I did my second tandem with him back in August. That's Billy Porter. Longish, blonde hair? Medium size guy. Tends to torment tandem passengers with subtle jokes about their fate? Funny as hell? Know him. A complete and entire shitload of tandem jumps. Good choice. Knows his stuff entirely.
SanDiegoRW 0 #19 October 11, 2002 Yeah Billy Porter. He's pretty cool. He is also partly responsible for this damn obsession I now have with flying. Next time you see him tell him I said thanks! He won't know who I am of course, but that's okay. I'll go say hello next August when I'm back in the area. -Kenny
