mwthomsen 0 #1 October 15, 2002 Hey I will be in Palm Springs CA the 24th thru the 27th and I was curious what dropzones are close to Palm Springs. If anyone can help me out with names and approximate drive times to dropzones I would appreciate it. Thanks, Mike
steve1 5 #2 October 15, 2002 I know they have a small Cessna DZ there. I was there last December and decided to do all my jumping in Perris. It isn't too far from Palm Springs and a whole lot more fun. Steve1
YahooLV 0 #3 October 15, 2002 You've gotta go to Perris or Elsinore. Take HWY 10 West. Then decide which drop zone to go to. Personally, I hang at Perris. Elsinore has a lake to look at in freefall that's pretty nice. Have fun!http://www.curtisglennphotography.com
ltdiver 3 #4 October 15, 2002 Interesting that you should ask. I'm wearing my "Parachutes Over Palm Springs" t-shirt right now. Memories of my student days. They do have (or had) a Cessna DZ there at Bermuda Dunes airport, but I'm not sure if it's still up and running. If you call the airport (sorry, I don't have the number handy) and ask they will let you know. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
TEB6363 0 #5 October 15, 2002 Try callin Bert Cotton at :707-343-2702 or cell: 760-861-8434. He was working in that area last year. He may still be there. You can also look at www.cottonpickn.com to see some other info. Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!
