Airhead 0 #26 October 14, 2002 Hi, Gerb- What was the trouble with your Level 3 jump? Is that the release dive? Is stability a problem issue with ya? I wobble quite a bit, still trying to truly relax...but am doing okay at learning different movements and how the body reacts in the air...To me it seems like even small movements have such quick reactions, like turns and arches, but tracking/docking seems to need much more pronounced movements to work well for me. I understand the $$$ issue, well, dude. Until I graduate the program, I can really only afford 1 jump a pay check! And barely that, either!
howardwhite 6 #27 October 14, 2002 So consols (I like the concept) are what we are probably still calling "Level 8" (although that is changing because AFF is now eight levels.) It seems to be exactly what many US DZs require between AFF graduation and A certification. Do consols include a low (4-5k) solo emphasizing spotting? TheBile 0 #30 October 17, 2002 Quote Quote What was the trouble with your Level 3 jump? My brain is telling my legs to do one thing but my legs do something completely different. They tend to be too far apart to start with, but even worse than that the right knee tends to tuck in for some stupid reason. I need a couple of wing mirrors attached to my arms so I can actually SEE realtime what my legs are actually doing. Or I could get my next jump video taped. Quote I wobble quite a bit Have you tried using another brand of Sports Bra ? Gerb I stir feelings in others they themselves don't understand. KA'CHOW ! Airhead 0 #31 October 17, 2002 Yeah, Yeah, Yeah... Ya Goof! I mean whuffling- not woobling, right? It's a tension thing from NOT relaxing. Anyways one of my JMs has recommended periodically doing toe taps to self-check leg/foot position. Could be helpful to you, too. Hang in there dude. I'm having set backs right now due to the DZ I'm at...very well may be changing to another place soon that is more able to train me...Plus sounds like could be open later in the season, too...+Some in winter, also depending... Good luck...Have fun & Be safe -
