Perris Condolences

Recommended Posts

I would like to start a condolence thread for both Bob and Shannon...discussion of both fatalities are in the Incidents Forum (as they should be), but I wanted a separate place for expressing loss...

to Shannon, who flew with style, grace and beauty, your smile and your energy will remain with the women of JFTC, and you will be forever remembered...Blue skies and white puffies eternal...

and to Bob, who always had a cheerful word for me when I was frustrated, and who gave amazing hugs - you will be missed, and your loss echoes through the world...Blue skies and white puffies eternal...

Ciels-
Michele

I guess the hardest part of all of this is when you've actually met or known the deceased (which is not my case in this situation). It must be tough when someone you know (maybe even love) and who you've jumped with, dies or is seriously injured.
I want people to know, that if something like this was to happen to me, I was having the time of my life moments before it all happened. :|

Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

My condolences to Bob's family & fiancee, his friends, and fellow jumpers in California for your loss.
My condolences to Shannon's family & friends & fellow skydivers in Tennessee.
I didn't know either personally, but from what I have heard they will be dearly missed.
Blue Skies/Black Death.

Truly a sad day whenever we have to say goodbye to one of ours'. Blue skies to our fallen brothers and sisters, and my deepest condolences to the families of each. Having just lost someone close to me, I can truly share in the pain they must be feeling during this time of loss. I remember joining this website in early 2000 when I first began jumping and read somewhere that: "if you stay in this sport long enough, you too will experience loss with someone you know". Well, it's happened. I met Bob last summer. Although our friendship was brief, it has brought the reality of this sport to a personal level. Rest easy friend.
