SkymonkeyONE 4 #78 October 21, 2002 My first two rigs were Christmas/birthday presents from my DZO dad, as were both of my sisters' rigs. Come to think of it, I have never paid "real" prices for any parachute I have ever owned. It's all about networking and sponsors! Chuck

AggieDave 6 #81 October 21, 2002 Quote anybody wanna sponser me? Sure, but I can't give you any money and the only gear I can give you is a tore up pair of BDU shorts and some old socks. You'll have to cover shipping, though.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
freeflir29 0 #82 October 21, 2002 Since I only paid about as much as a new container costs it wasn't all that hard. $1000 and I got a Dophin D2, PD 190 with less than 100 jumps, and a 1986 Swift 5 cell reserve with 0 rides on it. At 300 jumps I'm still jumping the container but have since replaced both main and reserve. Only paid $500 for a PD 176R (no rides) and $900 for my current Stiletto 170. I have been spending my money on Jump tix and trips to Rantoul, Florida, back to Raeford, etc.
