beered to death

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, howdy, nice to meet y'all and finally have a post.
I need guidance. ;-)
saturday aff 5,6,7. graduated.B| cool. oops, caseobeer.
sunday, fall off bunk 7am, first load. 1st solo. caseobeer.
next ride, 1st non dz plane, cool rollup door. fuck, caseobeer.
next ride, under a 250. pop 3.5 all good, left spiral burns up 1800 feet, woohooo. halfbrake out of turn and feels kinda funny. inspection shows cells 4,5,6 collapsed in on one another. a few seconds of persuasion spreads canopy to reveal a missing p/c, d-bag, bridal and oh yeah, entire center rib.
1300 feet and wobbling down quick. stripping and arching by 1299.5. b.t.w. has anyone noticed how quick a main will dissapear and how it seems to take an hour for mr. reserve to show up? just wondering.
perfect landing under reserve. right on. what a rush. a little early if you ask me, but cool. umm, caseobeer.
last ride, 1st hop-n-pop. went well. hung out and noone said caseobeer.
my question... are they starting to feel guilty or is this not a beerable offense? (crosses fingers).

thanks,
namaste, motherfucker.

Ok, there are many people who know a hell of a lot more about this than myself, but after executing a deep turn and leveling off the canopy will have a lot of lift and then slowly return to normal flight...if you make another drastic steering input while the canopy is making it's way back to normal flight the chances of spinning up the main increase dramatically...I can imagine that other malfunctions are more likely in this scenario also. You may want to talk to someone at your DZ about what occurred.

BTW students don't generally have to buy beer, but hmmmm...

BTFU !!!! Obviously different rules for different countries.
I learned you owe beer for any SIGNIFICANT 1st that you do. 1st jump, graduating from student status, 1st formation dive cranking major points, 1st big way, new gear, 100th, 1000th, 2000th, etc....
You also owe if you utter the 'F' word, regardless of the offense. I bought beer when I first had to ride the plane down. When the pilot informed us no go and began the decent, I was stupid enough to say "This is the first time.....". CASEOBEER.
Some people claim the 'Gold Wings exclusion', which means they think once they get their Gold Wings they are excluded from ever buying beer again. I think that's a bunch of BS. I did my 1st hybrid dive 2weeks ago and I went and got beer.
And as always, there are those that ruin it for the rest of us by proclaim 'caseobeer' on everything, (1st hangnail, 1st landing off, etc..), in which case if you really feel nice you can buy it but as stated earlier, you owe for SIGNIFICANT 1st only.
Anyways, Congrats. Glad your here to tell us about it.:)BSBD

I am SLOW today. didn't even realize that was posted in jest.:$
OK, since your nowhere near me at this time I feel safe in asking.... "What's brown wings, and how do you earn them?".
Is that like a cornholing? (cornholing requires a corn cob and... well, you can figure the rest).:S
