weid14 0 #2 October 22, 2002 a guy at work was a platoon commander, the stories he told (make sure you're belted in when cruising!) pretty cool, it would be fun driving one of them around, did they get off a round while moving?

freeflir29 0 #7 October 22, 2002 That is one crazy huge machine. That turbine engine is VERY nice to stand behind when it's cold out.

Engine trouble? no problem, we've got one right over here in this little ol' box to swap out. doesn't take very long either -- it's a genuine GE aircraft engine, too. Guest #10 October 22, 2002 Just wait til you have to replace a track or two in the middle of the Winter. Or throw a track and have to get down in the freezing mud to put it back on. Or sleep in the tank. Your enthusiasm will diminish...hehehe "The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."

freeflir29 0 #12 October 22, 2002 QuoteOr sleep in the tank M-113's have quite good heaters. I don't mind sleeping in them at all. Never tried to sleep in an Abrahms though. I'm sure that could be uncomfortable.
