Stu,

Try Skydance Skydiving in Davis CA (west of Sacramento) Or the Parachute Center in Lodi (60 or so miles south) Both have turbine acft, nice people,
beer, all the important stuff. If there are any closer to Or. I do not know about them. Have fun.

Damn dude, that's like 6 hours away from the Oregon border - both of them. Someone has to know of a closer place to the Oregon/California border. I am sure something in Oregon would be much closer.

Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast!
Beavis: Yeah! Yeah! Cool!

I think Santa Rosa is the only thing closer, and it's worth the extra couple of minutes to get to Davis for the turbines.

I haven't jumped there, but I think it's a 182 DZ. I recall a really fun freeflyer who jumps there and at Byron and Davis.

I think it's the Napa airport, but I don't really know.

I'm guessing you weren't a Deputy? B|

Seriously, check out Davis if your going to be out this weekend, it's their boogie and it should really be a fantastic blowout. They are opening thier bar!

PARRRRRRTY!

Hey Stu,

The weather in Oregon is usually better than up there near the Sound. We have been able to jump nearly evey day for the last two weeks.
You guys get that low marine layer that last most of the day, when we get it here it burns off often by noon.
Or book a trip to Eloy, you can jump everyday, all day!!

I did one jump at Skydive Santa Rosa. It is in Santa Rosa at the Santa Rosa airport, about an hour from Napa. They have a C-182. it is Class "D" airspace, so you can't land or even over-fly the airspace. Very busy airport, we had to wait until 4 other aircraft took off before us. A van brings you back fro the landing area, about a 10 minute drive. You almost have to have a Cypres. They say the require one, but let me slide.
