SkyDolphin 0 #1 October 25, 2002 Since we had the whole Harry Potteer Fan Club thread going few weeks ago, I thought I would post a note saying that Richard Harris aka. Albus Dumbledore died today at the age of 72. Can't imagine who will get they get to replace him in the next movie(s). This makes me sad. tigra 0 #2 October 25, 2002 That's very sad. I had heard he was ill, and that they had already lined up his replacement for the next film. I'm pretty sure its another actor (not famous) who has also worked as his double in the Harry Potter films. Peace, Richard Harris. The acting world has lost another great one....... maura

tigra 0 #5 October 25, 2002 Dumbledore is the headmaster at Hogwarts. The really old and powerful wizard who is always helping Harry out. He's a very important figure in all of the books. The one good wizard that Voldemort is truly afraid of. Perhaps more importantly, Richard Harris was a phenomenal actor of both the stage and screen. Really, one of the greats. He said he only did the Harry Potter movie because his granddaughter told him to.

prepheckt 0 #8 October 25, 2002 He did star in the second part...Chamber of Secrets....May he rest in peace. I thought he played the part of Dumbledore beautifully, he brought the character to life.
