Casch 0 #1 October 26, 2002 This is somewhat related to SpeedRacers rantings, but I was just wondering what the numbers were as far as the number of people that actually make skydiving their life. It doesn't mean that they don't do other things non DZ related but I want to know the number of people that make a living and spend the majority of time skydiving. And what exactly do you do? rgoper 0 #2 October 26, 2002 Quote I was just wondering what the numbers were as far as the number of people that actually make skydiving their life you forgot to ask one question in your poll. how many people "wish" they could make a living off of skydiving? as far as occupations of everybody that doesn't make a living off of sky diving, this has been asked a hundred times already. NewGuy 0 #9 October 27, 2002 Quote you forgot to ask one question in your poll. how many people "wish" they could make a living off of skydiving? I'm with you on that - wish I could make a good living sky diving... instead I spend my good living on skydiving. Can't complain, at least its skydiving! Cheers, NewGuy
noggydog 0 #10 October 28, 2002 I pack saturday and sundays and work full time as a carpenter durring the week. I'll soon be moving to a warmer climate so I can jump my brains out durring the winter to learn as much as I can and get my numbers/experience up, so hopefully I can start pursuing some ratings. I've talked to a couple DZ's and they all told me to be as versatile as I can. I want to jump out of airplanes full time... SkymonkeyONE 4 #12 October 28, 2002 I have another job, but I don't even have to show up for work anymore, so I guess I could be considered a "full timer" now. I live on the DZ in my RV, yet own a house in town which I have no desire to reoccupy; I rent it to a friend and his wife. I do AFF, tandem, wingsuit, and SL instruction. I organize, coach, pack, rig, cut grass if needed, and generally help out with anything that anyone on the DZ needs help with. Chuck
