mountainman 0 #1 October 28, 2002 Laura and I went to see this movie last night and really enjoyed it. I guess it has been out for quite awhile, and it is doing very well. There were a lot of people in the theater (~85% full) for the 9pm movie. I thought the whole concept was very believable and it was great to see the conservative American family counteract with the excentric Greek family who is very patriotic for their country. Anyway, if you are looking for a good movie to see for guys and girls, this would be the one. It is rated PG and is still extremely funny. I recommend it. http://www.brandonandlaura.com
skymama 37 #2 October 28, 2002 Yes, I agree with you that it is great. Everyone in my family who saw it, from my 13 year old daughter to my 86 year old grandmother loved it also. I know from the title that it sounds kind of sappy for most of the guys, but it's actually very funny. It's made a killing at the box office because I think it's been showing for about 6 months now and it is still in the top 10.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
hooked 0 #3 October 28, 2002 I married into a Greek family, we haven't seen it yet, though. We have been told by family members, to see it, it is soooo true and funny. So I guess we will have to see it too. J -------------------------------------- Sometimes we're just being Humans.....But we're always Human Beings. slotperfect 7 #5 October 28, 2002 I saw it with my wife a month ago. It is the funniest movie I have seen in years! Family safe, too (as mentioned before). One of the camera guys at Raeford has a Greek wife. She said she had seen it and everything is absolutely true. Arrive Safely John
TheBile 0 #6 October 28, 2002 I heard these same complimentary comments about Four Weddings & A Funeral and Bridget Jones' Diary. When I watched them I didn't find them that funny. Looks like it's one for me to wait until it shows on Digi-Sat. Gerb I stir feelings in others they themselves don't understand. KA'CHOW !
flyhi 24 #7 October 28, 2002 Had a friend recommend it to us with the caveat that it was, "really good except for all that pre-marital sex stuff". Yes, people like that still exist. Her other two favorite movies of the year were "Lilo and Stitch" and "Shrek". See a pattern? Of course, I didn't explain to her that if you don't intend to get married, it isn't actually pre-marital sex.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. ginandjuice 0 #8 October 28, 2002 That was a very good movie. My boyfriend and I went and saw it and thought that it was very cool that they didnt have the "they arent going to get married cause of some lie or secret " twist that most movies have. The words I have to say, May well be simple but they're true, Until you give your love, There's nothing more that we can do-David Bowie
