DTOXX 0 #1 October 28, 2002 OK, I don't know exactly were to post this question so I just threw it in here. Dove can spank me if I am wrong. According to the USPA 2003 SIM glossary Night Jumps are defined as:"NIGHT JUMP: A skydive made from one hour after official sunset to one hour before official sunrise. The FAA considers any jump made after sunset and before sunrise a night jump." So, for those of you who jump at Skydive Houston can you tell me which is observed there??? As luck will have it I will be in a training course for about a month at the interchange of the I-10 & the Beltway (Sam Houston beltway is it?) at the Radisson West. This means I am about 25 minutes away from Skydive Houston, I my directions are correct. I know I will be "stuck in class" till 4:30 to 5:00 and hope to make it for the sunset jump a couple times. I am 1 or 2 jumps short of my "A" license, which I will have next weekend, so an actual night jump is out of the question. Anyone have an idea if I will be able to make it? Levin 0 #2 October 28, 2002 skydive houston tries hard not to let there sunset loads take off too late. better to get there as early as you can. you are actually more like 30-40 minutes away depending on traffic. a little longer if during rush hour. since we just rolled the clocks back it will now be getting dark at 6 pm. and 5:30 pm in a month. don't foget to leave yourself time to fill out a waiver and get your gear checked. levin vSCS#
