The only references I have heard to a SCR number is from Texas skydivers or from DZ.COM.

Somethign to do with last out of a plane and closing a ten way or something. Or just being part of one. I have never heard of anyone doing it around Nor Cal at all...

How do I get my number again?

Kids these days... sheesh!!!

The SCR is awarded for being in a completed 8 way (or larger), and the SCS is awarded for having docked 8th (or later)... back in the day of round parachutes and belly mounted reserves, this was actually a notable accomplishment, and worthy of a special 'awards' ceremony, conducted on the pea gravel after the completion of jumping...

I jumped from 1978-1983, then took a little (well, ok, 17 year) break, and was surprised when I started jumping again 2 years ago (where is that divorce thread?) to see that the traditional ceremony had survived (at least here in TexASS)!!!

You really haven't lived until you've been thru the SCR ceremony... remember to save your trophies for the mantle!B|

help us out in Eloy and teach us the ways of the SCR's....

I'm willing to help organize WSCR jumps if anyone is interested (WSCR being Women's Star Crest Receipient - an 8 way all female star formation). Guys, you can get in on this too; by docking 9th or later on an all female 8 way star you can earn the WSCS (Women's Star Crest Soloist) award.
