Rdutch 0 #1 November 1, 2002 This is a forward from a friend of mine that is running for the southeast. Friendship aside, I think that he is an inteligent person, and will listen and represent everyone fairly, and competently. Just a reminder to all the skydivers within the Southeast Region of the USPA that I, Richard A. Schachner, am a write-in candidate for the Southeast Regional Director for the USPA. I am of course interested in all aspects of formation skydiving competition on all levels. Believe there should be more and better lines of communication between the members and headquarters of the USPA. I would like to see more attention paid to some safety issues and membership retention. I am also aware that skydiving is also a business as well as fun. Can't really have one without the other. Please write my name, Richard A. Schachner, on your ballots when you receive them. If you have any questions please contact me at skyjumper@k2services.com or phone me at 386-740-9324 Blue Skies and be safe, Richard Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of! PLFXpert 0 #4 November 1, 2002 Alright, alright...Ray wanted me to add to this thread, and since Ray's my be-atch, I guess I should say a few kind words about Richard: Vote for Richard. No, seriously, Richard is a great guy and would do well if elected. Maybe he would get the FAA off Deland's back, too. But that is another thread altogether. skymama 37 #5 November 1, 2002 I will be voting for Richard. He truly is a great guy who loves the sport and wants it to continue in a positive direction. He was the first guy at Deland who invited me to jump with the gang. He also devotes many countless weekends to being a judge for the NSL.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
arlo 0 #6 November 1, 2002 I'll kick in as well... :) I will most confidently be voting for Richard to represent me in the Southeast region. I'm not sure how many of you guys know this (the Deland folks surely do), but Richard is one of the folks that actually DOES go out and skydive...every weekend. Richard also is familiar with the competition aspect of skydiving and was the judge for all the FSL meets AND was one of the judges at Nationals. To me, this qualifies him on the competition aspect/realm as well as the people skills portion of it. He has to interact with people all the time. Richard also helped raise money for JFTC without anyone asking him to. This, in my eyes, shows his character. Richard is good people and he really wants to make a difference. I know I used to just vote for a name I was familiar with because I was not around the folks running for these positions. So if you're in that situation and don't really know who to vote for, hell, call him up and talk to him. As far as having Ray post for him, let me just say this: the majority of the folks that have been in this sport for a while don't have as much time to play on the computer as others. It's not that he won't "waste his time" or anything like that on the forums. I just think he spends more time doing skydiving related stuff than accessing the net. That's not a bad thing. I think I'd prefer to have someone that is actually out there getting his hands dirty than someone that sits on the computer and doesn't see what's going on. I sure hope this helps. And sorry for the length of the post.... blues, arlo

I spent $4 on a T-shirt for this guy. And I think he said something about giving me a pull up cord if he wins. No way I'm not voting for him.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. skymama 37 #9 November 1, 2002 I'm sure it has nothing to do with my boobies. He's an upstanding guy and would never stoop to such juvenile levels. (man, he's gonna owe me for this post!) Off the topic but, It wasnt enough beer's, cause the shirt is white, and you know what happens to a white shirt when accidently some water gets on it. Maybe if you had a few more you would have spilled your water on it ect. ect. Ray A party later...what were you thinking? Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of! Just checked his pic. No beard. Last time he was in Z-hills, he had one. 18 months ago, I think. He knows I'm just kidding about the beard. Tell him I said he looks far too respectable now.
