Its official.
Nov. 11th at 6am my husband will be going into surgery@ St. Lukes hospital in Houston ( great hospital btw) to get a new kidney!!

If you wanted a get well joke, go get him a kidney pie and give it to him in the hospital, or cook some kidney beans...I know if it was me something like that would really make me laugh after a kidney surgery.

Yea thats a good idea.

I have to get him something because transplant patients can not have flowers.
He will be taking drugs that suppress his immune system so that new kidney will not get rejected.

I have to wear a mask when Im in his room for a couple of days. Plants all have to be gone from our apartment.

I like the kidney pie idea though

my (step)sister is giving my (step)brother one of her kindeys soon. pretty crazy stuff. glad he found someone in the family to give him one. I dont think I would have that option...mine are hard rock!

My thoughts and preys go out to you and your family! A good friend of mine underwent kidney surgery last summer. I could tell you how stressful for me it was, but I sure you already know that. In October, after a long recovery I that the pleasure of going scuba diving with him for the first time in months. I'm sure your husband will be fine. My buddy is, so I am sure your husband will.

My husband and I got scuba certified and went down to 80 feet together. He really liked it. I hope we can plan a trip when he is well.
His wants to get in a cage with a shark on the outside.
