mccordia 74 #1 November 4, 2002 Not sure if this is the correct forum for this...soo many choices...I don't like choices...I'm a consumer..I don't choose.. Anyways, This sunday I went to the DZ. Left home about 7:30 AM, got there at about 9 o'clock The weather sucked, but I figured I could learn a bit for the written exam. At around 11 I decidec I would give it a shot, and gues what..I PASSED!! I GOT MY A!! After a small celebration, the weather had turned better and we took the plane outside. I was used to jumping with a ripcord, but since I have my own rig (!!!!), I got briefed on BOC release. I was used to jumping with the big student canopies (Drakkar) and MAN does this make a difference. Landed in the peas, and on my feet :) It's so cool to finaly have my own stuff and my A licence..! I hope everyone had a great weekend like I did..:)JC FlyLikeBrick I'm an Athlete?

blewaway5 0 #5 November 4, 2002 Better be careful! Since you got your liscense now I'm sure you know how skydivers are with beer. You're liable to have 10,000 crazy bastards show up wanting to get drunk Truman Sparks for President

Snowbird 0 #9 November 5, 2002 Congratulations! Woohoo! It's such a great feeling, to have your license, your rig, and an endless sky just waiting... and to know that the adventure is just beginning. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein

mccordia 74 #11 November 5, 2002 Quotedud, way to go...... took ya long enough!! lol... it took me 2 years myself..... I only got to jump once every 2 weeks or so, and bad weather and the whole foot and mouth thing with cows and such hit pretty hard in holland. I coulnd't jump from march untill june..which sucked bigtime! And even after my financial sitation didn't always allow jumping. For some reason my (now ex)GF didn't understand the need to eat dry crackers for a month so I could jump, instead of buying expensive food.. Quotei'll be back in europe sometime in the next year... and i'm gona have to comeup and jmp with ya.. was planing on germany/sitzerland but, hey what's a little exta drive.....congrats again..... Thanx for all the cheers and congrats! And about coming to Holland..Great Idea..we'll tour a few dutch DZ's, and I'll show you how real men thunnel an exit :) And otherwise well pick a DZ on the Dutch/German border and meet on neutral grounds :) Gotta go, work work work..
