Skyrose7 0 #1 November 6, 2002 I have been using msn and now the subscription is cancelled. I would like to just go to hotmail because it is free. Everytime I try to go to hotmail it takes me back to msn. I know they are like one system, but can I change to hotmail so I don't get charged? Will I get charged if I get online with another server and then connect to msn mail? Please help me! I am computer illiterate.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP. MaryRose
skymama 37 #2 November 6, 2002 I have hotmail and msn messenger, and I've been on a cable connection for the last few years. So yes, it is possible not to get online with msn. Hotmail is just a website, you should be able to connect to it from any computer. Did you try logging in to hotmail.com?She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Skyrose7 0 #3 November 6, 2002 yep, it sent me back to msn. So, do you still use your msn? I just wanted to switch it over to hotmail b/c it's free, but if they don't charge me for using msn mail that is fine.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. skymama 37 #4 November 6, 2002 Quote So, do you still use your msn? I don't really understand what you are asking. Do you mean the instant messenger? That would be a yes. Do you mean msn for hook-up or my home page? No on both (dropzone.com is my homepage!) Are you logged into the msn passport system, or anything like that? Try logging out of everything that might have a password and deleting your temporary internet files and cookies, close your browser, and open it again and go to hotmail.com.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Skyrose7 0 #5 November 6, 2002 I am not using msn as a hook-up. It wouldn't let me connect because the subscription is done. THen, when I connected through a different hook-up, it let me get to my msn hotmail with no problems. I will try logging out of all that and see if it will let me get on to hotmail. thank you!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP. They now call it iNet Framework or some such garbage. You do not need to be using MSN to access hotmail -- I don't and still use hotmail as my default as I am right now. What may be confusing is that the signon for the whole shebang is on the MSN page. Don't worry about it, just sign on from there using your hotmail add as the userid and your usual Hotmail PW. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
Pammi 0 #7 November 6, 2002 Can you actually switch it or do you have to sign up for an account with Hotmail? I use three diff Hotmail addresses...it's all free :)
