mujie96 0 #1 November 5, 2002 I've acquired a friend's cat because he is leaving Hawaii and can't take her with him. This is a temporary situation, until his girlfriend moves out of the barracks and can take her. I'm getting sad because this poor kitty misses her daddy so much...she's walking around alternating between making these pathetic little meows and growls. Poor baby. If you get a pet, please realize that they tend to last a lot longer than a houseplant.... Jess Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....
sunshine 2 #2 November 5, 2002 That is sad. My kitty would be lost without me. (She's sitting on my lap right now) Just try and give the kitty some love and attention and hopefully she'll perk up. ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! tigra 0 #3 November 5, 2002 Good point Jess! So many people do not realize that adopting a kitten or puppy is a 10-20 year commitment. You really need to think those decisions through. Our pets are completely dependent on us, and not just for the basics like food, water and shelter...... maura
moodyskydiver 0 #4 November 5, 2002 I keep a full schedule trying to take care of my "babies" (1fish, 2 ferrets, 1 cat, 2dogs). We have more animals here at our place, but these are mine and I'm responsible for them. Between food, kitty/ferret litter, vet bills, etc. it gets hectic. Its all worth it though because I enjoy their companionship and love 'em. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

christoofar 0 #7 November 6, 2002 My cat's too stupid to figure out I'm gone. I've taken a trip to Thailand and was gone for a week; my cousin came by every two days to check up on him (his name is "cat"). My cat looks like this all the time, so it's hard to tell when he's alive and breathing or just "resting." Wake him up and he'll bite you. Oh, and he likes to chew on spectra. Like poodles who have their 'do are looking down at the scruffy dogs? I always figured that it must suck to be the dog of one of those homeless guys. Talk about loyalty. A cat would never do that. Hanging with a guy who may, or may not, be able to feed you.
moodyskydiver 0 #9 November 6, 2002 WTF do I need a gerbil for..I have ferrets..much cooler pet.(besides, I'm not Richard Gere! hehehe!) "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
skycat 0 #10 November 6, 2002 Quote yes, but only if you feed 'em Hell my dog can even live past that. If I forget to feed her in the morning, she helps herself to dinner.....out of the trash Fly it like you stole it!
moodyskydiver 0 #11 November 6, 2002 My cat makes sure she gets what she wants. Every morning she jumps up on my bed and will curl up on my chest, butt, back, head, whatever suits her fancy and meow obnoxiously until I get up to feed her. I dont know why, but she thinks I'm her own personal kitty couch. She curls up and goes to sleep on me while I'm sleeping or if I'm sprawled across my bed w/my laptop (shes curled up asleep across my butt at this very second, as a matter of fact, while I'm on the computer.) Goofy cat! "...just an earthbound misfit, I."

If you can't feed them, they will go to someone elses house to eat and then come home.
