AggieDave 6 #1 November 6, 2002 Anyone else going to go see that movie? It looks interesting, although I'm not expecting a masterpiece.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

Slowfaller 0 #4 November 6, 2002 I'm gonna see it for sure. The street battling will most likely be the highlights. I wonder if Slim can actually act. Chris --"Someday you will die and somehow somethings going to steal your carbon" -MM
kingbunky 3 #5 November 6, 2002 considering he's 'acting' his own life story, shouldn't be too difficult! i'll definitely see it, but i'll wait for video."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." Guest #6 November 6, 2002 I can't believe anybody would pay good money to listen to or see that jackass (I have another name for "Eminem" that I don't use in polite company). Really, he must have made a pact with Satan to be so popular and successful. It certainly isn't because he has any talent."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." Rookeskydiver 0 #7 November 6, 2002 i agree with mark. When will he stop complaining about his past? PCSS # 1 Rookeskydiver "Its a Wonka Bar"....."Go ahead Charlie open it, lets see that golden ticket"

adamT 0 #9 November 6, 2002 He definatly has lyrical talent. But he is popular because of how he is marketted. He has adapted the image that fit with the way he was to be sold. He had an album called 'Infinite' that came out years before he hooked up with Dr. Dre. Based on content you can't even tell it is him when compared to the last three albums. Becoming someone your not so you can make a bunch of money is equivalent to dealing with the devil as far as im concered. adam P.S. I do plan on seeing the movie, but i don't have any high expectations.
Spy38W 0 #10 November 6, 2002 I usually only get to the movies a couple of times per year, I've been wanting to see 8 mile ever since I first heard of it about a year ago -- Hook high, flare on time

I kinda beg to differ, I don't have any of Eminem's CDs don't idolize him or anything like that, but if you've heard his music I think he does have a good bit of talent. Anyone who can fit that many words into a sentance, make fun of that many people AND make it rhyme has got something going for them. He may not be the most politically correct person, his music may not convey any type of good message, but he is singing about things that have happened to him or in his life -- i think his lyrics are kinda humorus actually. Just my 2 cents.

goose491 0 #20 November 6, 2002 I couldn't agree more with Kevin about talent.. It is hard to bust rhymes and he IS funny. I'm not the biggest rap or hip-hop fan but I recognize talent when I hear it... Here's the question though: Who here believes he is signing about his life? I've heard -and partly agree- that Eminem is a manufactured product. That his 'life-history' is just a fabricated story. The only thing that would make be beleive this is that he can get away with verbal abuse and life threatening comments he makes towards 'Kim', his supposed Ex and mother of his supposed daughter? It does make me wonder ??? what do you guys think? The movie looks interesting but what's it supposed to be? His life? Not sure... My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! Muenkel 0 #21 November 6, 2002 I think Eminem is extremely talented. Unfortunately, he using his talent to do damage. I'm not saying he should be censored, but do we really need his mentality in the media? Like I said, I think he has the talent. I wish he would use it and do some good. Just my .02. _________________________________________ Chris

AirTime 0 #25 November 6, 2002 Here’s a side note for you. The people who live on and around 8 mile were pretty upset when “Hollywood” came to town. You see, the residents have been working to improve their neighborhood for quite some time. But good old “Hollywood” couldn’t work with that. They wanted a more slum like environment so they made the place look trashy to shoot the movie. The Paranoids are after me! The Paranoids are after me!
