ernokaikkonen 0 #451 October 24, 2002 >+1......my sympathies. Oh well at least you will be skiing soon I guess I could but I'm really not into winter sports(betcha thought all Finns ski and play hockey). I don't like the cold... The last time I've skated was on the second grade of elementary school. I did go skiing in high school during our annual "sports day". Of course the reason to go was the after-ski parties... Which reminded me, on the second "sports day" I managed break my thumb while skiing. Skiing is dangerous. You are 33% likely to break bones in your body during a day of skiing in my experience! A day skydiving is 0% likely to break your bones. Highly scientific study.

ernokaikkonen 0 #457 October 24, 2002 >Sorry Erno I did, how else do you get out of the front door in winter. Hmph! We use snow shoes, of course! In the news today: -Chechnyan rebels have taken ~1000(one thousand) people hostage in a theater in Moscow. There are ~50 rebels, at least some of which have strapped explosives in theis bodies. -In Finland, some crazy motherfucker has shot at Airforce fighters coming in for landing with a flare gun. No hits, all flights have been cancelled for some time.

ernokaikkonen 0 #462 October 24, 2002 >It is going to end badly mark my words My thoughts exactly. IMO they haven't even planned on getting out of there alive, 50 people, from the middle of Moscow, when every possible soldier and policeman is on high alert there... And they've announced themselves as the "Suicide-squad" or something to that effect... I'm afraid we'll see something that'll top even the Indonesian incident... Scratch 0 #464 October 24, 2002 There is no way the Russians can afford to let them get out alive. Added to the knowlage that both the Chechnyans and the Russians have their own way of dealing with things like this...usually quite extreme.

ernokaikkonen 0 #474 October 24, 2002 Moscow update: The latest number of hostages quoted is 700. According to a Reuters correspondent there's been an explosion. A russian reporter being held hostage in the building has reported that the terrorists are very calm, and are treating the hostages well. Nacmac: What about the AN72? Is this boogie coming up soon? You going? I had a chance to jump the An72 a year ago in Estonia, but alas, I had run out of money.
