jessefs 0 #1 November 11, 2002 Anyone know any good high protien/low carb recipes? (already prepared for some of the responses.....) <* Spread the Love! *>
AggieDave 6 #2 November 11, 2002 There are dozens upon dozens of reciepes that include skinless chicken breasts, etc. Take a look at Body For Life, its a book, that has some good stuff like that in it, as well as a good plan for nutrition/workouts for beginners. Also, each month M&F and MM both have good recipes to try in their magazines. You're not doing the Adkins diet are you? You know that the Adkins diet is not healthy and not worth the trouble.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." pop 0 #7 November 11, 2002 Try eating more meat and no breads, potatoes, starches, any complex or simple sugars. That's raelly pretty much it to those kind of diets. I tried to cut out carbs out of my diet and eat more protien in order to gain proper weight, and I do have to say that you body does become more defined, but your energy goes down big time. My 4 mile runs turned into 2mile struggles. It was auwful... I had no energy for anything7 ounce wonders, music and dogs that are not into beer
Pammi 0 #8 November 11, 2002 You might try Allrecipes.com I use this site a LOT because I like to try new recipes all the time. They have where you can choose by type of meat, way that you want to cook it and low carb stuff too. I do a lot of recipes with boneless, skinless chicken breasts because of the high protein, low fat/carbs. I love the Chicken Marsala, but try to lowfat it a bit more by baking it, and last week did a baked Chicken Cordon Bleu with Marsala wine sauce. It was fantastic :) Pam
jessefs 0 #9 November 11, 2002 I was just going to try and keep the protien intake higher during the second half of the day, i'm not really worried about too many carbs during the day, it's not like i'm going to enter a bodybuilding competition. The refined sugars??.....that's another story
