outofit 0 #1 November 8, 2002 jraf if your looking for someone to blame about the non-americans post being locked blame me. i started the spin-off to it and it got locked as well. i was a little shocked this morning whenever i turned on the computer and saw that both posts had been locked but i wasn't surprised. the intention on the what about the americans post was intended to take a jab at the non-americans post and an idle attempt at being supreme and legendary much like meatmissle is feeling at this juncture in time. in terms of HH he is not to blame and i am no way, shape, form, or fashion attempting to suck up to him. i don't know him personally nor have i ever met him and most likely never will, but i do enjoy the site and the little community he has created and the fact that it is free makes it that much more enjoyable. futhermore, if u remember correctly when we all first joined in and began lurking it was explicitly stated in the rules that post whoring will make u unpopular and from time to time we all get our cyber hand smacked. in summation, chill because as we all know this ain't no democracy! It is better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool!

wmw999 2,589 #10 November 8, 2002 QuoteHardly. It's was the French I used to work in a sensitive job as a government contractor (well, I had access to password files). As such, I had a SECRET clearance, and that comes with the benefit of a yearly briefing from the FBI. We all made bets on who the bad guys would be after the fall of the Berlin wall. I mean, we could hardly target the Poles and Soviets any more -- now they were our friends, right? Sure enough, that year the topic was industrial espionage, with the "evil French" in the starring role. Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. LOL...the biggest danger is that the CIA may accidentally strike one of Canadas exploding mooses (or is the plural meese?). That would be a bitch to put on an insurance claim, huh? "I was standing next to this moose...Putting a little bear fat in my hair and combing it,,,then, boom...down I went, eh" "Uhh...so sir, this was aboot when the flying moose penis hit you in your head and knocked you unconscious, eh?" I didn't make his up. "The exploding moose population in this WMU has put a tremendous amount of pressure on not only wildlife managers to control the population " Exploding Moose

happythoughts 0 #18 November 8, 2002 Quote I'm afraid to say, but I don't get this one.I'm sure it was funny though. Sorry, it's a computer geek joke. Text is saved on the disk in the same size (unless as a pixel image) for everything. The font you give it is just descriptive stuff that gets wrapped around it. When you change the font on text, it doesn't get larger or smaller to the computer, just to you when it displays. I told the "disk space savings idea" to a manager of questionable value once to get them to go do something else and quit bothering me. They sent it out as an email to the group and you should have heard the howls of laughter all over the floor as the technicians read it. Meanwhile, the manager is squinting at the screen and trying to read something they have written in micro-dot. For you techies out there, try it sometime...lots of laughs.
