codemonkey 0 #1 November 12, 2002 Hi all, I am just about to book my tickets to Orlando to go skydiving at Sebastian for 3 weeks I arrive this Saturday and was wondering how to get to Sebastian DZ! I don't really want to hire a car for the whole time as it going to cost loads and I don't plan on using it while I am there. Anybody done it before / got some suggestions? Are there any buses or shuttles etc? Many thanks for any help, James
Stacy 0 #2 November 12, 2002 ummm, it's about an hour or so (depending on time of day) from orlando to sebastian if i recall correctly. there's no shuttle, i'm not sure about buses, it would have to be somethig along the lines of a greyhound type thing. I know there are a few sebastianites who live in orlando, i'd give manifest a call and see if they can hook you up with anyone.
Muenkel 0 #3 November 12, 2002 No buses or shuttles, but I know there are quite a few dz.commers who jump at sebastian. Maybe they would give you a ride in exchange for some jump tickets? _________________________________________ Chris
PLFXpert 0 #4 November 12, 2002 Suggestion: Come to Deland instead. Brannan (blackwidow) and I will be there on Saturday jumping before I head down to SkyQuest. A lot of the swoopers in Deland and Sebastian (Lyle is organizing it) will be at SkyQuest already so you won't see many people there.

Emmie 0 #7 November 13, 2002 Last year I did the same thing as you. I wasn't old enough to rent a car yet, so I spend weeks trying to figure out how to get there. The cheapest way was for me to call a shuttle. There's one located in Sebastian, its called Transports. They are twice as cheap as the shuttles out of Orlando. It will cost you about 60$. You may also want to call the dz, and see if anyone else will be arriving the same time as you. They will send a shuttle if there is a group of people. The shuttle from the dz is 100$ though, and it was my experience that they wont come for just one person. Good luck.
skydiverbrian 0 #8 November 14, 2002 What are the dates? If the school semester's over when you get here, I could offer a ride. In a world full of people, only some want to fly... isn't that crazy! --Seal
