As the article was about Poindexter, and not Bush, I suspect they would. There is more to government than who the president is.

I was surprised when I saw Safire's name on the piece too, but I was referring to the New York Times. The only reason they ran his piece was because it was attacking the administration, not for what it actually said.

Conservatives are saying funky things these days, too. At least that's how it appears to me.

The reason I was calling it a "Chicken Little" piece was because it was full of inflammatory rhetoric, but that doesn't mean it should be dismissed outright.
