A question I know the answer to! Woo hoo! Gear rental is (I think... I could be a few bucks off) $60 plus tax for a complete rig (main, container, reserve, Cypres) for the full day, as many jumps as you can do. They don't rent gear by the jump or do half day rentals at a lower price. After you get through Perris' extensive waiver process, stop by the Square One pro shop and let them know you want to rent gear. You'll have to fill out another waiver, this one specifically for the use of the rental/demo gear. Bring your logbook, license if you have one, and a credit card with you to the store - logbook and license so you can show them your experience level, credit card number and exp date to put down as a guarantee that if you break any of it (i.e. reserve ride, Cypres fire, rips, tears, etc) or lose any of it (i.e. cutaway and can't find main, reserve freebag and p/c and/or handles), you'll pay for any needed repairs, repacks or replacements. One important note about Sq1's rental/demo gear. The container/reserve and Cypres, along with the main d bag and pilot chute, come to you as one unit. The main is not attached to the container when you get it - it is on risers though. It's up to you to assemble the main to the container, and it's up to you to pack it. Perris' packers will do all of this for you if you don't know how or don't want to bother with it - I think it's $2 or $3 to hook up the main and pack jobs are $6. If you want to have a packer take care of you, let whoever helps you at Sq1 know and they'll walk down with you and introduce you. If you've never hooked a main up to a container before I strongly recommend having a packer do it for you... It's also up to you to turn on the Cypres before you jump the rig. FYI none of Sq1's demo/rental gear has RSL's installed. Hope you have a great day! Wish I could come out and join you... but some of us have to work all day...
